The Figure

I have always loved to work directly from the model; I think that is what informs most of my other work, especially the ability to work very fast on my music and dance paintings.

It really is an honour to study the human figure at length -
I am indebted to the many wonderful models I have worked with.

This series of pastels on black paper was created working with a wonderful, professional Canadian model while she was visiting Malta.
It's lovely to work with models who are so comfortable in their own bodies.
