I love to experiment with different surfaces and ways of working; it challenges me and I feel that it keeps me moving forward. I work mainly with water-based media, particularly watercolours and acrylics - I just love the feeling that I am only JUST in control! I often add other mixed media such as pastels or inks. I really have no set formula or way of working, so I often surprise myself!

    I do, however, love to draw. Being able to capture whatever I choose to is a wonderful way to relate to the world and also to honour the gift I have been given. My studies of the figure help me to work at great speed when I am faced with moving subjects such as dancers, musicians or animals. I just have to let go and see what happens.

    Working with other subjects, such as landscapes or in the Temples, is a completely different challenge as then my feelings and emotions begin to influence the work. 

    In the studio I can create in a completely different way; that's when the work gets totally personal and more and more abstract. As I said before, I often surprise myself!!
