Painting Retreat in Marsala, Sicily

I have been tutoring painting retreats at the Salinara Art Farm every year since 2017
- each time is a new delight to teach and guide. I love being there and it feels like my home from home.
Lovely painting locations, wonderful food and wine, our perfect hosts Adriano and Yumi - and best of all a great bunch of people to think, talk and practice Art 24/7 for a whole week. What on earth could be better than that?
It honestly doesn't matter how much previous art experience you have had, I can help you with hints and tips to help your individual journey wherever you are on the ladder. I tend not to demonstrate much as I think that it is more important for everyone to learn what they need to know as they go along. I run impromptu workshops based on what I feel will benefit the whole group; this may be drawing, tone, colour mixing, perspective......etc!
I teach with watercolours, as they are so portable and really so much fun too. Don't believe that they are the most difficult; cheating is definitely allowed. If you would rather bring another medium, please do - the fundamentals apply whatever you're working with.
